Graduate Sales Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate Engineer who is looking to begin a career in a people facing role. You will be working for a multi-national stockholder and distributer of Carbon steel pipe, fittings and flanges.

This could be a start to a commercial sales career within a rewarding, varied and interesting environment with great career prospects.

 

Requirements - What we need from you

Must be a recent engineering graduate; ideally Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, this is advantageous but not essential!

You must have strong communication skills and be an outgoing person.

Must be forward thinking who will gain the ability to work independently.

Be willing to interact directly with customers by telephone, office meeting and site visits.

Summary

Our client is a large manufacturer and stockholder of carbon steel pipe, fittings and flanges which they predominantly supply into the Oil & Gas and Offshore sectors. This Company is part of a global group which is constantly developing and increasing its manufacturing capabilities, and therefore they are looking for an individual with the ambitions and commitment to enjoy a fulfilling and tangible career path.

Our clients require a candidate who is eager to learn and take advice from industry experts, within an international company. You will be required to generate new business and service existing accounts. We will help you learn about the industry and develop sales pitches in order to close deals.

Examples of What You Will Be Doing Right Away

From the moment you start at the Company you will begin your training with the business. Your training will include:

  • Learning new product ranges and the processes involved within a sale
  • Develop relationships with existing and new customers; learning how best to service their accounts
  • Recording all customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensuring you respond to all customer enquiries in a professional manner and within a timescale agreed.
  • Generating quotations for the company.
  • Assisted client visits with members of the sales team.
  • Purchasing material with the help of experienced staff members.

Benefits/ Details

  • Salary of between £20k - £25k – To be discussed at interview
  • Working hours 09:00 to 17:00 - Monday to Friday
  • Company Pension
  • Opportunities to progress quickly within a multi-national company.
  • 25 days holiday (excluding 3 days holiday over Christmas and New Year)
