Internal Sales Executives

Do you have experience of working within the metals or engineering sectors?

Understand exporting products from the UK? Have knowledge of calculating currency differences?

We currently have a vacancy for an internal sales executive, who will be working within our clients export department looking after their eastern European accounts (Ukraine, Poland & Belarus).

Requirements- What we need from you

  • Metals experience – Successful candidates would ideally have experience of selling metal products, however, this is not imperative. The most important skill for this role is being able to spot opportunities to maximise the company’s profit margins.
  • Export understanding – All applicants must have some experience/understanding of export sales; including organising freight; currency agreements; commodity codes; putting together documents packs for export; calculating packaging costs; estimating dimensions for goods and freight costs to sea and around the world.
  • Communication- Candidates must have the ability to communicate information clearly and be adaptable to vary your communication style to suit different clients. It would also be advantageous if you could communicate within a different European language (French, Spanish or German).
  • Confident telephone manner – It is vital that candidates have a confident telephone manner to gain the trust of potential and existing customers.
  • Commercially aware – All candidates must have an understanding and awareness of the commercial side of the business. This is to ensure that they can accurately quote customers within the company’s pricing structure.
  • Relationship builder – The ideal candidate would be adept at building and successfully maintaining effective and profitable business relationships with customers.

Our client is a leading multi-metal metal stockholder with a large variety of stock range backed up with a technical team of metallurgists.

Our client need a candidate who is highly skilled, motivated and career driven sales executive who want to take the next step within their career.

This role is suited to a candidate; who is highly skilled at building strong and long-lasting relationships with clients and is a key account manager. All candidates must understand currency agreements and freight costs to be able to do this role effectively.

Examples of What You Will Be Doing Right Away

From the moment you start at the Company you will be hands on in the commercial side of the business. You will be working under the leadership of the Head of Sales carrying out daily duties which include:

  • Answering in bound and calling clients to service their accounts.
  • Closing deals.
  • Providing quotes for potential clients.
  • Chase feedback from clients regarding quotes.
  • Gain the trust and respect of existing clients through effective administration and communications.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the products you will be servicing on a daily basis.
  • Recording all customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensuring you respond to all customer enquiries in a professional manner and within a timescale agreed.
  • Maintaining and recording accurate and easily accessible information for all allocated customers.

 

Benefits/ Details

  • 25k – 30k (based on experience) – To be discussed at interview
  • Working hours 09:00 to 17:00 - Monday to Friday
